今回のテーマは【場所についてたずねる】です。ここでは、Where (どこに) という疑問詞と be動詞を使って、人やものがどこにあるのかをたずねる練習をしましょう。
① 講師の後に続いて、Where で始まる疑問文と、相手の答えを声に出しましょう。今回は場所を表す前置詞、at, in, on, under, behind, above, in front of（群前置詞）も登場します。

いかがでしょうか。相手の答えの中の緑の字の語が場所を表す前置詞です。前置詞は、名詞の前に置きます。今回は場所について答えている文の中で使われているので、いずれも人やものの位置を表す役割をしています。
② 講師の後に続いて、Where で始まる疑問文と相手の答えを声に出していきましょう。いくつかの疑問詞＋be動詞 は空欄になっています。

③ 最後に、ミニクイズです。相手の答えを見て、疑問文の中の空欄に、適切な疑問詞＋be動詞を入れて英文を作り、声に出してみてください。どのような疑問文を作れば相手が “She is at home.” と答えるでしょうか。
